The C7 section is interesting because of the note B. Five-string models of these guitars are also available.
#CORT BASS B4 PLUS#
The B4 Plus AS RM is available in three stunning finishes-Open Pore Aqua Blue (OPAB), Open Pore Trans Black (OPTB), and Open Pore Burgundy Red (OPBR)-each with black hardware and matching headstocks. Also improving playability are the Hipshot Ultralite Tuners, which provide tuning accuracy and stability. The B4 Plus AS RM has a 24-fret, 34-inch scale, providing plenty of versatility, and the double cutaway design provides excellent access to the upper frets. Meanwhile, the Markbass MB-1 EQ provides a natural, transparent boost that doesn’t color the organic nature or resonance of the tonal woods. The Bartolini MK-1 pickups deliver plenty of punchy and warm mids as well as transparent and brilliant highs for a superbly balanced sound. The translation of the B4 Plus AS RM’s tone is reliant upon the instrument’s pickups, and the B4 Plus AS RM doesn’t disappoint in this regard. The maple has been treated in an oxygen-free oven at a high temperature, stabilizing the wood for a bigger, bolder tone while also developing its golden-brown look for vintage appeal.

#CORT BASS B4 SERIES#
This combination creates an ideally balanced sound to round out the bass spectrum.Ĭort’s latest material innovation in the Artisan Series is seen and heard though the “RM” roasted maple fingerboard on the B4-Plus AS RM. To complement the brightness of the swamp ash body, the B4 Plus AS RM uses 5-piece panga panga and walnut for the neck, resulting in a tight and defined midrange.

The wood’s natural light weight and appealing grain pattern are also desirable aspects of swamp ash. The open-pore finish on this bass enhances the resonance even further. The foundation of the B4-Plus AS RM is its swamp ash body, characterized by its scooped-mids sound with a bigger low-end and clear highs for a more balanced tone. This new model combines four tonal woods-including an all-new roasted maple fingerboard treatment-in one balanced instrument. At this cheap price, no bass guitar can beat the Cort B4.Seoul, South Korea (May 1, 2019) - Cort continues its material innovation in the Artisan Series of electric bass guitars with the introduction of the B4 Plus AS RM. At such a cheap price, the bass guitar manages to almost flawlessly copy Warwick bass guitars. This bass guitar is suited for any type of genres of music.Ĭort B4 is a great bass guitar. Just fool around with those knobs and you will find the tone you want. The reason for this cheap price is that Cort bass guitars a mass produced in factories, but despite this, Cort bass guitars all have flawless quality with excellent factory settings.Īs with Cort A4, Cort B4 is able to produce a variety of tones thanks to its Bartolini 3 band EQ preamp. You can see my review of Cort A4.īeing an active bass(it has a preamp in the guitar), Cort B4 is able to produce really powerful sounds compared to other bass guitars, and it is only beaten by Warwick bass guitars really. Specs are identical to that of A4, except that B4 doesn't have a neck through construction.

This is incredible, as Cort B4 is so so cheap. Although Cort B4 doesn't manage to equal Warwick bass guitars, it gets somewhere close. Cort B4, which is almost 10 times cheaper than Warwick bass guitars - at around $500 - is really a wonder. The only problem is that Warwick bass guitars cost a fortune - usually $4000 plus. Many bassists love the growl and the power of Warwick bass guitars.

Cort Artisan B4 review - under rated Korean "gem"(so cheap but so good)
